    Statis Dermatitis

    – Does not spread quickly
    – May be warm to the touch when removing bandages, but cools quickly
    – Occurs from blood leakage into the tissue
    – Mimics appearance of cellulitis

    Contact Dermatitis
    – Occurs where prolonged moisture of exudate touch the surface of the epidermis
    – Redness only, no prolonged pain or fever
    – Inflammation of the epidermis, not infection of the dermis

    – Mimics appearance of cellulitis

    Cellulitis
    – Often unilateral
    – Dermis & subdermal layers
    – Redness, heat, burning, pain and/or nausea
